I am a Professor at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) and a member of the Artificial Intelligence for Human Well-being group at the UOC eHealth Research Center. I obtained my Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2010 from Universitat Jaume I, where I completed my doctoral studies in Advanced Computer Systems with European Doctorate distinction.
My research interests focus on computer graphics, interactive applications, GPU programming, serious games, UX, VR, procedural content generation and web technologies. I have participated in several European, national and regional R&D projects, acting as Principal Investigator in some of them, and have published in JCR journals and international conferences. I have been a member of research groups such as the Institute of New Imaging Technologies (INIT) and the Interactive Visualization Center (CeVI), as well as leading the Game Technologies and Applications group.
I have also carried out research stays at Universidade de Vigo (Ourense campus) and at TU Wien, contributing to international research collaborations.
I have extensive teaching experience in higher education, particularly in video game development, interactive systems and web technologies. I have taught in various institutions including Universitat Jaume I, ESNE, UNIR, VIU and Florida Universitaria, where I also coordinated the Degree in Video Game Design and Development.
